The Beer Song.
A long time ago, way back in history,
When all they had to drink was nothing but cups of tea,
Along came a man by the name of Percy Mopps,
And he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops.

Chorus:
He might have been an Admiral,
a Sultan or a King,
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look what he has done for us: he's filled us with cheer.
God bless Percy Mopps, the man who invented beer.
A barrel of malt a bucket of hops,
When it's brewed and ready at 8 o'clock we'll stop

At branches of the Red Dragon Inn all across Ardrana, fliers were distributed calling for volunteers to take part in a grand adventure. Those who responded met Marquire, a representative of the government of Imor. Through a crystal ball, he showed them the grandeur of the city, and then passed around a tablet to sign.

Those bold few who signed the tablet were brought through the RDI's transportation network to Imor, where they met Clive, the proprietor of the local establishment. He showed the individuals to the meeting room, where Marquire met with them, giving them each a device to wear on their wrist. A representative of the Imorian Bureau of Attunement, Dorella, explained to the group that the bands served both a translation device and a tracking device. They told the group a bit about the city, and some of the party -- especially Thorodin and Tripper Leebow -- expressed concern about what they saw as a rigid caste system. Things were not off to a good start.

Marquire then introduced the group to Sergeant Greenedge, the mission commander. Together, they told the assembled party that they would be cleaning out an abandoned underground passage that led from Imor to the city of Drev. At that point, Gregory Kelso, a military specialist, came into the room wheeling a cart with a covered cage on it. Inside the cage were two unusual-appearing creatures, and the party was asked to drive out or kill any normal pests, but to bring back any other unusual creatures such as these.

Again, the party became concerned, and believed that their questions were being evaded. Li-Jorus found himself asking some questions multiple times to get answers. The party wondered why the passage was only now being reopened, a question that was seemingly not answered to their satisfaction. Meanwhile, the aggressive sergeant grated on the nerves of several in attendance, and tensions rose. Tripper wanted more information about the creatures, and wanted to perform some kind of experiment on them, but he was denied permission to do so, which seemed to rankle the druid.

Eventually, Marquire called Greenedge out into the corridor, leaving the party alone with Kelso. He took this opportunity to explain that he had been with the group who discovered the creatures. As they were talking with him, Tripper began casting a spell, only to have his wrists grabbed by Kelso, preventing the action. Marquire returned shortly, and asked for a volunteer to serve as spokesperson for the party. SniffWind, having served as a herald previously, quickly put himself forward, and nobody else seemed to object.

Marquire returned after a lengthy absence and noted the tension among the group. He suggested that they all adjourn to the common room until Dorella’s return. When everyone had stowed their belongings in their rooms and gathered around the tables that had been pushed together, Marquire informed them that Sergeant Greenedge had been removed from the mission command role at his insistence. Marquire had requested that Sergeant Keeler be put in charge of the mission as he had a more laid back approach that would work better with the varied peoples in the group. There would be an opportunity to ask questions tomorrow evening during the mission briefing.

This seemed to ease tensions somewhat, but it was obvious the group wanted to get out and about. Marquire explained that they’d have to wait until Dorella came with the maps as she was the more experienced guide to the city. The group chatted among themselves for a little while longer and partook of the trays of fruit and pastries that had been provided.

Dorella returned, accompanied by a young lad carrying a large stack of parchment. The boy put the stack on the table and departed. Dorella explained the color-coding of the maps, and described the Tenser Transit System, which seemed to spark some interest among the group. Finally, she explained the tracking feature of the maps and the group was then allowed to explore Imor’s marketplace and its surroundings.

Several of the party got to experience the TTS first hand while others chose to casually stroll about. Kessa found her visit to the Imorian Commerce Center very stimulating, as she encountered Hermes Fountain as she entered the building. Dorella and SniffWind chatted as they glided down to A&E Scribes. SniffWind has his eye on one of the item sold there - the EverInk pen. Tripper Leebow had an engaging chat with Granny Rose when he visited her herb and spice booth. WildFire caught the tail end of a bow demonstration and made it a point to visit Archer's Corner to express his interest in the BowMate. Thorodin's day was full of frustration as he wanted a tour of Imor University and was told he'd have to arrange a tour tomorrow.

The group returned to the RDI in drips and drabs after 5:30 and discussed their varying exploits over dinner. Afterwards, several party members decided to check out the gaming area and witness the BaffleBall game in action with the assistance of one of the other patrons, an off-duty military officer. Later, Tripper and one of the other military types, Tom, played a cordial game of darts. SniffWind created a Poster for his talk tomorrow evening and "sold" his upcoming performance around the common room. Thorodin and SniffWind both chatted with a dark-haired, elven-looking woman named Kendra WillowSight from Flohrilynn Forest seated at another table. The highlight of the evening came when a message was delivered from Sergeant Keeler that postponed the mission briefing until the day after tomorrow, and eventually everyone went off to their rooms.

The following morning, Thorodin was invited by Kendra to take the university tour on which he'd missed out the previous day, while WildFire was given a private demonstration of the BowMate. SniffWind made final preparations for his performance that evening and the rest of the group took advantage of the opportunity to relax and enjoy some good libations.

SniffWind's performance was well-received that evening, concluding with a rousing rendition of The Beer Song. He was complimented for his efforts by Dorella afterwards. She also asked him to pass on the word to the rest of the group that the briefing would be at nine o'clock the following morning. She would pick the group up at the RDI. The rest of the evening was spent getting to know one another...
He told them a bit about the city, and some of the party -- especially Thorodin and Tripper Leebow -- expressed concern about what they saw as a rigid caste system. Things were not off to a good start.

Marquire then introduced the group to Sergeant Grenedge, the mission commander. Together, they told the assembled party that they would be cleaning out an abandoned underground passage that led from Imor to the city of Drev. At that point, Dorella, an instructor at a local university, came in carrying a box. Inside it were two unusual-appearing creatures, and the party was asked to drive out or kill any normal pests, but to bring back any other unusual creatures such as these.

Eventually, Marquire called Grenedge out into the corridor, leaving the party alone with Kelso, a local who had been with the group who discovered the creatures. As they were talking with him, Tripper began casting a spell, only to have his wrists grabbed by Kelso, preventing the action. Marquire returned shortly, and asked for a volunteer to serve as spokesperson for the party. SniffWind, having served as a herald previously, quickly put himself forward, and nobody else seemed to object...

This adventure began after SpringRite and his companions had rescued several of their companions in Jar-Kahn. After they decided not to continue their earlier mission with Lady Allegra or to pursue Antos and the other man who had imprisoned part of the group, the party decided it was time to start fresh.

With that, the party prepared to depart Jar-Kahn. Deciding that Hanmer might be too dangerous, the party canceled their plan to return via airship, and instead prepared to take a passenger ship to Vesqui, then travel overland back to Nazivonema. Since the party found that the next passenger ship would not arrive for several days, Villea, Al Sha'in and Delmar Zorchglimmer returned in the airship. CloudStorm went with them so that he might retrieve his falcon companion, intending to rejoin the group once they reached Nazivonema.

The passenger ship arrived -- the Daikigyou, a ship from Jiberia -- and Beyla became concerned, thinking it was connected to the Snake clan, a group known for its ruthlessness and treachery. After SpringRite spoke with an elf who had just disembarked, who told him he had had no trouble, the party decided to book passage, with Beyla agreeing to serve as ship's cat in exchange for her fare.

The Daikigyou set sail the next morning, and the party was invited to dine with Captain Saichi. However, several of the party members felt ill. SpringRite was in especially bad shape, and the group called upon the ship's cleric, SeaWind, to aid him. Keladryn, Beyla and Fiona met with the captain, and the meeting was postponed until the following day. The party noted that SeaWind seemed to be behaving oddly, and possibly spying on them.

The following day arrived, and the party had lunch with the captain and discussed some of their respective exploits. The Daikigyou then made port in Porton to pick up another passenger, and the party spent the evening at the Spindrift Inn in town. Beyla seemed to know the innkeeper, named Xandro, and introduced him to Gabriella and NightShade. The three then had a meeting out of sight of the rest of the party. The sisters returned, and the party stayed to hear the tale of the mad wizard's tower outside the city, and then most of them spent the night on the boat.

The Daikigyou set sail the next morning, but Hanalyn, who had still not recovered from her seasickness, remained behind to attempt to procure other transportation. During these first few days, the party had noticed SeaWind apparently spying on them, and noticed this again on this morning. Also, the passenger that came aboard in Porton seemed quite mysterious -- Beyla observed the person coming aboard concealed in a heavy cloak, carrying a mysterious package. She and NightShade determined to investigate.

Later that day, the party discussed the possibility of abandoning their ocean-going voyage in favor of attempting to earn some gold, in the hopes of getting to Nazivonema more quickly. To that end, they asked Gar about his plans, and about what he knew of the new passenger. It was determined that she was likely an elf from Shael i'Vor, and Gabriella went to have a chat with her. She discovered that her name was LaurelStar, and that she was safeguarding a package bound for her people in Vesqui. After some discussion, the party began negotiation to hire on as her guards.

Meanwhile, a mysterious ship appeared on the northern horizon, slowly bearing down on the Daikigyou. The smaller but faster ship signaled the Daikigyou, requesting a meeting on shore, and Captain Saichi agreed. He pointedly requested that one of the passengers accompany him, as he suspected the pursuers were seeking them for some reason, and it was decided that Beyla (in cat form) and Kelrick would join the shore party...
Klak also has tattoos on his arms in the form of "X"'s which represent the number of kills by his war hammer and are a source of intense pride. His right arm is much more developed than his left due to practicing throwing the hammer daily. His plate mail armor is covered in thick black grease which has mud and dust with small branches and twigs stuck between the joints, and his black helmet sometimes has a long spike attached to the top and often has a Light Blue Prism shaped Ioun Stone circling around it.
Klak carries a unique magical throwing hammer he calls Dazhak's Divine Thunder Hammer of Smithereens, hooked onto a thick leather belt.
