The Psionic Institute is the only school dedicated to the teaching of the psionic arts in [[Lanad i'Sarois]]. It is located in [[Morelenas]], at the far southern tip of the continent, and entrance requirements are very stringent. Only those recommended by current or former instructors at the school are allowed to enter. Those who do not gain this honor must find their training with those whom the Institute consider "rogue instructors", a term which they apply even to the [[Cephid Knights]].

The school is run by [[Valce]], considered by most to be the foremost authority on psionics of his time. He and he alone makes the final decision to accept or reject a prospective student. The general disdain in which the Institute's students and alumni hold psionics not trained here originates with him as well.
