The Dragon clan are perhaps the most powerful of the [[Thirteen Clans]] of [[Jiberia]], controlling a broad swath of land in the west-central part of the peninsula. Under the leadership of [[Mirumoto Hitomi]] (usually known simply as Lady Hitomi), they have expanded their influence significantly over the past decade, attacking and defeating a number of smaller clans in the region and annexing their land.

Though the Dragon clan is known mainly for its military might, it is also heavily involved in trade. The city of [[Soujin]], in the southwestern part of the lands controlled by the clan, is one of the two most important ports in western Jiberia (the other being [[Tabune]]). They have a great rivalry with the [[Ki-rin clan]], whose lands are to the northwest and who control many of the overland trade routes, and they are closely allied with the [[Crane clan]] to the west.
