Gar bears are a species native to the MidLands. They tend to be slow and fat, a bit like smaller panda bears, with fur of various shades of brown. They are herbivorous, and generally stick to woodlands, where they have few predators. They are considered something of a pest by humans, because they tend to ruin their farmland and gardens, but are often kept as pets or guard beasts by halflings.
