Hestia is the Greek goddess of the hearth is protector and patroness of the home and marriage, though she is a more gentle and affectionate governor of marriage than is Hera. She is skilled at cooking and fire-building, and she appears to be a quiet, motherly type, a quality that accounts for most of her charisma.
