The '''Carp clan''' is one of the [[Thirteen Clans]] of [[Jiberia]], controlling a block of land in the southeastern part of the peninsula. Their lands are bordered by those of the [[Crane clan]] to the west, the [[Ki-rin clan]] to the northwest, and the [[Wolf clan]] to the north. They are led by [[Karusi Aruta]], who is also a businessman of some repute.

The lands of the Carp clan sit at the entrance to the [[Bay of Sumani]], and thus they are counted on to protect the eastern coast of the peninsula on which Jiberia sits. As its name indicates, the clan is also renowned for its fishing fleet, which Daimyo Karusi claims can be converted to an offensive or defensive force on a moment's notice.
