Everett Barthos, Earl of Barthos, is the lord of a fairly large area of land to the south and east of Hanmer. His lands are quite suitable for the growing of many crops, and he has over the years increased his wealth considerably through trade with the cities of the Cardillic Desert. He has four children, of whom Fiona is the eldest.
