The Beast

The Beast was the name given an ancient bulette which once wreaked havoc across The Seven Deserts. Its devastation was legendary, and it was sought by treasure-hunters far and wide -- none more avidly than Mirk of Rogariel -- due to its gold-and-jewel-encrusted belly. It was slain about three years ago, not by such mercenaries, but by a band of broken ones led by the wizard Dassar al-Shaman.
