The '''Thieves' guild of [[Semmarch]]''' has had to go even deeper underground than most, as they were one of the groups actively purged from the city by [[Mirdael Hanaestor|Duke Mirdael]] when he withdrew from the [[White Alliance]]. The guildmaster, [[Ilmarian]], was briefly imprisoned, but has since escaped and is hiding out with others who fled the city to the south. His replacement is a fellow named [[Thurl]].

Though they are deep underground, that does not mean they are inactive, as they do a brisk business in contraband, and also in getting people into and out of the city secretly. In this, they are aided by [[Morgan Bestler]], proprietor of the [[Outlanders' Inn]], who has the entrance to a hidden tunnel behind his establishment.
