Jeveth is a professor of [[Abjuration]] at the [[Jar-Kahn (school)|Jar-Kahni School of Arcane Knowledge]], and is in fact the son of its president, [[Jhessail]]. Unlike his father, who focused on the divinatory arts, Jeveth chose the path of protective magic. This choice may have been guided by one of his early adventures, during which he [[Werewolves of Shethkor|helped to free]] the city of [[Shethkor]] from the depradations of a band of [[werewolves]]. He was killed by one of the creatures, and his father had him [[raise dead|raised]]. Ever since, his life has been devoted to the study of, and later the teaching of, magic of a protective nature.
