The speaking stick is a magical stick which originates from the land of Odiferous. It resembles a club that measures 2 feet in length and 3 to 4 inches thick. There is a rune at the thicker end. When a person holds the stick at the thin end with the rune-end towards his mouth and speaks, all those within 7 to 8 yak’s lengths (60 feet) can understand what is being said. Those outside of this area are unaffected and only understand him if they speak the language he or she is actually speaking.
