Dazhak's Divine Thunder Hammer of Smithereens

Dazhak's Divine Thunder Hammer of Smithereens is a Dwarven throwing hammer which has a black metal handle with the head hidden with a leather draw string bag. When exposed the head is in the shape of an 'x' with four hammer heads, one at the tip of each post. The four hammer heads are covered in weapon black except for the four head faces, which are a polished silver color.

In the hands of a Dwarven fighter who knows the appropriate command word, its full potential is realized. The hammer has a 180-foot range and will return to its wielder's hand like a boomerang. It is especially effective against giant creatures.

When used in combat, the hammer booms like thunder as it strikes an enemy and causes the following to happen:

• deafen all within a 10 foot radius, with a saving throw
• mess up casting spells, if the caster is close enough to the noise and is casting when it goes off
• scare little animals
• in certain circumstances, bring down landslides and avalanches
