Using the journey's orison spell, the caster can bless an individual about to embark upon a long trip, or can bless an object that is being transported a long distance. The caster lays hands on the individual or object, intones the spell, and states the destination of the journey. For the duration of the trip to a specific site, the blessed person is less likely to encounter natural mishaps, and is looked upon more benevolently by fellow wanderers. The reverse of the spell, journey's malison, has the opposite effects.
Note: This spell originally appeared in this form in Dragon Magazine 237 for the AD&D game from TSR. Its use here is for the purposes of providing context for the campaign only.
