Tripper Leebow

From Ardrana

Tripper Leebow was born to a ranger and a druid a little more than eighteen years ago in the town of Ghrtk. In Tripper’s eyes, childhood was an endless series of adventures. Starting around the age of two, Tripper was given the opportunity to accompany his parents on countless adventures and quests, as Tripper thought of them. These quests That Tripper went on with his mother and father were in fact nothing more than them doing there life’s work. There never was any real danger or battles. The values, skills, and ideals of Tripper's parents were infused within their only son. As an only son he was nurtured like a prince. He was never coddled, though. Being raised by a Druid and Ranger, they were well aware of the harsh truth of Mother Nature, and the real world. They led Tripper on that razor thin line of giving him everything in their power, and yet never allowing him to stray from the path into a spoiled, insolent child. One could argue that Tripper's personality would not let him do this in any case. Still, to a child, the experiences laid down the ground work and path that would carry this young man through the rest of his life.

Tripper grew to strongly hold onto the druid belief of being a neutral advocate for nature. He found that he almost had an innate ability to recognize and understand how to heal and nurture the underdog, restoring the balance necessary for it to survive and thrive. He avidly sought out and helped the downtrodden, whether it was a lake that was being sickened by a mining operation that were dumping harmful mining tailings, to assisting a farming community that could not figure out why their crops were stunted and not growing very well. Tripper also sought out sick and injured trees, plants and animals providing what healing that he was taught to him by his parents. He came to understand that there must be a balance and sometimes he could provide a little nudge, like the advice given to the farming folks. Sometimes though it took more than a nudge, such as in the case of the mining operation. He had the resources to provide just the right amount of pressure to affect the proper and needed change to restore the balance to nature. He also knew that his father would strongly disapprove of some of the methods that were necessary to employ to cause the needed changes to occur. Tripper thought the world of his parents, his love and respect for his mother and father was bottomless. When it came to his beliefs though he was as strong willed and head strung as the next young man, for this reason it did not bother him, besides he knew that deep down his mother would feel the same as he did. She would be able to calm his father after he learned what his son had done, as he always did without fail. Without his father actually coming out and saying it, Tripper knew that after his father calmed down he really felt that it was honestly the only way that the changes would have occurred, even if he did not like how it was done.

When Tripper was five he was given his first hunting knife. Within a year one knife was just not enough, if he could not find a knife he would make his own. He would make them out of whatever was available. He would come home with his hands all cut up. This is after his father taught him the proper care and use of a knife. Tripper's father did not much care for knives, although he respected their necessity and utility, but Tripper had an infatuation for the blasted things. He could see that if he did not get his son the proper training he would lose a finger or toe. If Tripper was not taught the proper techniques in throwing and handling them everything around the house would be in danger of being stuck, or pinned to the wall or tree. Tripper’s father knew this old shady guy who knew more about knives than anyone he had ever met. The old guy agreed to teach Tripper what he knew.

Tripper’s father did not think much of Tripper's knives and daggers; he felt that Tripper needed to learn how to use a real weapon. Tripper’s father was proficient with the scimitar and quarter staff. He gave Tripper the choice of weapon to learn. Tripper chose the quarter staff, as his primary weapon to learn. He was not content just learning the quarter staff though. As any father he was proud to teach his son the scimitar as well. Trip still has a ways to go with the scimitar though to say that he is proficient with the weapon.

Tripper grew into a six foot two strapping young man. He has the piercing ice blue eyes of a mountain glacier. When he looks at you you feel like you are melting into them. He has shoulder length golden blond locks. He has the build of a swimmer. When Tripper speaks to you he has a smooth melodic voice that is soothing and mesmerizing.
