Mrowt is Molbo's feline companion. He found Molbo in the Red Dragon Inn in the city of Agropthos. Molbo had dropped a piece of cheese, which had lured a mouse out of hiding, and Mrowt soon followed. The mouse ended up getting away, but Mrowt has never gone hungry since. When Molbo is away for extended time, the innkeeper has taken to caring for the cat as Mrowt ensures a mouse-free environment in return.
