Pirena is a Lastini merchant who owns and manages Pirena's Inn in the resort community of Paliremos to the west of the capital of Mentoncha. She and her husband, Becado, chose to aid in the initiative of the current ruler to foster ties with neighboring lands rather than starting a family. Thus, the inn was built. Pirena's strong support of the ruling family is well-known and she is warmly welcomed at court on the occasions when she escourts foreign diplomats to the castle.
