Obsidian Mountains

The Obsidian Mountains are located in the central region of Ardann i'Parastha. Their name comes from the vast deposits of obsidian found in the range, which has a fair number of active volcanoes.

The Obsidian Mountains run very close to the equator, through to the shore of the Living Ocean. There are those who believe that this mountain range was once larger even than the mighty Jhakad Mountains, but that many of the eastern peaks sank below the sea, where they broke off to form The Grinder. This is, of course, only speculation.
