Qwinn

Qwinn is a Gnomish illusionist who was, for a brief time, the Dean of Illusion at Jar-Kahn. Qwinn is originally from the town of Quast in Alior, and due to his great renown as a wizard he was granted a title by King Svirdirgo. This allowed him found his own house, and his eldest daughter's name was changed from Ventra to Quiventra.

When Jhessail became president of Jar-Kahn four years ago, it became apparent that he would be making wholesale changes to the staff. Qwinn then volunteered to step down in favor of Quiventra, to help smooth the transition. He then remained as a professor within the school. It may be that Qwinn also stepped down in order to draw attention away from other activities, including his connection to the Facilitators' Guild of Hanmer.
