Samuel -- "Sam" to his friends -- is a Human fighter, originally from Hensoji but currently a proud resident of the city of Gascar. Following in his father and grandfather's footsteps, he took his first job as a sailor aboard one of the local fishing vessels. His fierce loyalty and strong work ethic caught the attention of Medina, who gave him his first shot at a crew position as the helmsman aboard the S.S. Intrepido. He performed his job admirably and those aboard looked to him for guidance and inspiration. This didn't go unnoticed, and when Medina bought the S.S. Impresa, she promoted him to First Mate.
