Shanangani

Shanangani -- "Shan" to her friends, which includes most if not all of her customers -- is a Human innkeeper from the city of Mauben. Her mother was a half-orcish waitress at Pickle Bill's, and she doesn't know who her father was. When the son of the inn's original owner died in the Wars of Arin, he left the inn to Shan's mother, who was his longest-serving employee. Shan inherited it herself about twenty years ago.
