Adaron
From Ardrana
Adaron grew up pretty much as an only child. His older brother Vanadin would pop into his life for stints, almost like a mirage. There were times that his older brother would be at his side for many long months as he was growing up, then one day without a word he would vanish not even alluding to his departure or return.
Vanadin would be gone for months most of the time; however, there were times that he was gone for a year or more. Despite this, the brothers were very close -- so close, in fact, that there were many times Adaron thought he could feel his brother's presence, or distress, even though his brother would not show up for many months after the feeling would pass. It was many years later that both Adaron and Vanadin came to realize that they possessed a very special ability to know each other's thoughts and feelings. It was also many years later that Adaron learned why his brother was mysteriously vanishing without a word to anyone.
The brothers were both primarily raised by their mother. Their father was of some military importance in the military of their kingdom, Sharellen. He was a general in charge of military strategy and intelligence. As a result of this, the brothers never really knew their father as they grew up. As a young elf Adaron was aware that his older brother and father would have long conversations in his fathers study with the door closed. No matter how hard Adaron tried to eavesdrop he could never hear what was spoken about. He even went so far as to hide under one of the large hollow boxes that one of his father's busts sat on. This endeavor took him a long time to work out. He had to get into position an hour in advance. However just before any substantive conversation started, his ears seemed to become stuffed with cotton. The only thing that he heard was a muffled conversation that made him feel woozy.
When Adaron was old enough his father spoke to him about what he did. He wanted Adaron to follow in his footsteps. This is what he had wanted his oldest son to do. However this is not exactly what happened. Vanadin had more of the affinity towards the intelligence and secretive end of things. This is apparently the direction that he had gone. Adaron's father wanted at least one of his sons to follow down his path. Being the good son, Adaron agreed to this. So as a young elf he was shuffled off to military and strategy school, learning the trade that his father knew well.
After many more years of education and training Adaron earned his commission in their kingdom's military. Adaron worked his way through the lower ranks. He was making a good name on his own merits. He was also able to work with his brother to some degree on a few less clandestine operations. Their father really did not like the way that Vanadin influenced his younger brother. He could only take so much of the two of them when they were together. On the other hand there mother loved it when she could have her sons together with her. This made a really awkward family dynamic. The brothers seemed to be oblivious to this though. They seemed to feed off of one another to some degree. If one watched very closely it would almost seem that the two would make more then a whole. Just about like one plus one equaling three not two. When they were separated for long periods of time, it was almost like they would be less than one after a time.
Eventually the kingdom succumbed to treachery from within. The brothers' mother and father were tragically lost in the ordeal. Vanadin was not anywhere of knowledge. Adaron learned of what was occurring in time to escape. Now the brothers are out on the world without any strings. This is just a beginning.
The path of the brothers led them to Semmarch, where they joined a mission led by Allegra Brownstoke. When Allegra left the group shortly thereafter, the brothers decided to continue accompanying SpringRite and his companions. Now, they have acquired a possible lead about Lannima, the half-elf who betrayed their parents.
Adaron is a PC played by Scott Ford.
