Akivri Beyla Kai, or "Beyla" as she is more commonly known, is a hengeyokai thief who has the ability to shape-shift into a cat. She met SpringRite and his adventuring group in Jar-Kahn and accepted an offer to join that group. During their journey on the Daikigyou, she has served as ship's cat to pay for her passage.
Beyla's origins are still somewhat mysterious, and indeed not everyone in the party even knows of her abilities, although most do. Her knowledge of the region and ability to speak Jiberish proved quite handy during their journey.
