Fire Wars

From Ardrana

The Fire Wars were a series of conflicts fought between the Elves of Shael i'Vor and the Orcs of Arin during the early days of the Third Civilization. These conflicts resulted in the destruction of nearly half the forest, and nearly the destruction of both peoples.

It is said that, after the fall of Pretic, the Elven people were scattered across the world. A large number of them landed on the western shores of Lanad i'Sarois, where there was a great forest, which they named Shael i'Vor, the Forest of Purity. As they spread their dwellings throughout its breadth, they reached its eastern end, in the country of Arin. There, they met their ancient enemies, the Orcs, and it wasn't long before they began fighting once more. The Orcs' primary tool in these battles was burning down the forest to flush out their enemies, giving this series of conflicts its name.

In the end, with the Orcs nearly lost, they brought forth an ancient evil known as the Red Bull. It laid waste to vast swaths of the forest, forcing the Grand Druid Baley to gather its people, most particularly the unicorns that were native to Shael i'Vor, on a small peninsula of land. Bassik was petitioned, and he caused the ocean to divide the peninsula from the mainland, forming the island of Vorilsha.

By now, it was no longer in doubt that the Red Bull posed a threat to all Ardrana, and to combat it Baley brought together the most powerful druids from all the land to form the Cabal, which joined the Elves in their fight. Together, they finally defeated the Red Bull and the Orcs, ending the wars.
