Jankor Illiand
From Ardrana
Jankor Illiand was something of a pioneer. Originally the owner of a small tavern along the road just north of Hanmer, his tavern sat along the planned route of the King's Road through northern Kellan. Rather than bemoan being forced to move, he grabbed the opportunity presented to him. He allowed those building the road to stay at his inn for free -- charging only for meals, on which there he put a premium -- and used the profits to build a new inn at the point where the new road crossed the East-West Road. He named it the Four Corners Inn, and it quickly gained a good reputation among travelers. Jankor made enough to retire, leaving the inn to his son Melik. Jankor died a few years back, and a portrait of him hangs behind the bar in the inn.
