Raji Telva

Raji Telva was a Human noblewoman from the city of Gascar. The wife of Wyell Telva, the couple had six children. The eldest of these was Kayen, a famous adventurer. She is renowned for her leadership of the city during two particularly difficult times over a span of four decades.

When Kayen was fifteen, Raji became steward of the city when Wyell's ship was lost at sea. During this period, the city was attacked by sahuagin, but she arranged for a treaty with the military of the Medici Islands, led then by Antonio Giovanni, by which the sea devils were driven off. The alliance was short-lived, but the two regions remained on friendly terms and are still active trading partners. To this day, Gascar has the best relationship with the Halflings of the Medicis of any city in Lanad i'Sarois.

Several years later, after Kayen had brought the city into the White Alliance during the Wars of Arin, her son also died prematurely. As his wife had died bearing their son, Jayar, Raji was again thrust into the position of Duchess Regent, as she led the city through the remainder of the war until Jayar was old enough to become Duke. By then, Raji was well into her seventies, but she remained an adviser to her son until her death twenty years ago.
