Straits of the Unicorn

The Straits of the Unicorn separate the island of Vorilsha from the mainland of Lanad i'Sarois. It is said that the straits were created by Baley when he separated the island from the mainland to save a herd of unicorns from a conflagration during the Fire Wars that set Shael i'Vor ablaze. Thus the forest is found on both sides of the strait.
The water through the straits flows from south to north, following the prevailing current along the shore. The straits are narrow enough that in most places, the island and the mainland can be seen to either side.
