Thalos the Black

Thalos the Black is a legendary figure in the tales of ancient Ardrana. He is said to have ruled the land of Errl in the days of Pretic, before its fall and the dawn of the Third Civilization. He was a tyrant, and was opposed mainly by The Outlanders, a band of renegade adventurers led by Shoto. His servant in these stories was the wizard Rinjok. Thalos is the only significant character from the stories that was not raised into the heavens. Instead, stories tell that the ascension of his enemies inspired the rest of the populace to rise up and overthrow him, resulting in his death or exile depending on the version of the tale one hears.
