Torian

Torian is a Human transmuter, originally from the village of Talaver on the outer fringes of the Desert of Lycom. He is thought to have been born there well over two hundred years ago, and has made no bones of the fact that he keeps himself alive through magical means. As far as anyone knows, he has never married nor had any children, but he keeps much of his personal life to himself.

For well over fifty years, Torian served as the president of the Jar-Kahni School of Arcane Knowledge, having succeeded the wizard Otiluke in that position. He stepped down only a few years ago, now serving as advisor to Jhessail, the school's current president, as well as sitting on the executive board as president emeritus. It was he who oversaw the school's reorganization as part of his departure, leading to the departure of almost all of the school's deans. He still lives in Jar-Kahn, as he has for nearly two centuries.
