Each princess to go on the Journey of Enlightenment adds something to the gown that inspired her while on her journey upon her return. The garment is worn by the future queen as she parades through the city before her departure.
When Princess Conchita returned to Mentoncha from her journey, she had a new accessory made to complement the original raiment that represented the journey across land that she had taken -- something that showed how land and sea could work together, but never truly merge.
