Arain

The city of Arain was once a very important city along the Vorilon River, in the foothills of the Thair Mountains. It was perhaps fifty miles south of Itaron, its close ally. It was founded by Xorg about sixty years ago following his flight from the city of Rinogor, which had been nearly destroyed by the Onyx Empire. For most of the rest of the Wars of Arin, Arain and Itaron were bulwarks against the Empire's spread to the west, but in the end Arain also fell. Its ruins still sit along the Vorilon's banks, quietly standing watch over the site of one of the greatest battles of recent history.
