Daan

Daan is a legendary figure from Ardrana's distant past. He was a member of the Outlanders, an adventuring party whose exploits during the days before the Third Civilization are told in all corners of the globe. Daan was a Dwarf and a follower of Severn the Maker of Things. He was also an engineer, who was always creating useful devices for Shoto, the Outlanders' leader, to use on various missions.

Demigod attributes

Like his companions, Daan disappeared on his final mission, and was raised into the sky as one of the planets. Bards occasionally will say in jest that Daan was really a gnome, and that it was one of his inventions that caused the Outlanders' disappearance. The Dwarves are not often amused.

Daan's holy symbol, as well as those of the other Outlanders, is six small circles arranged in a larger circle. In his, the circle on the lower left is filled in with a multi-hued stone, such as the various types of agate, or occasionally an ellipsoidal piece of metal, usually iron.
