Spanning over five hundred miles in length, the Imor-Drev Tunnel stands next to the Stoller Waterway as one of the man-made wonders of Ardrana. There is one main passage, which is split into two sections called "cartways". This passage runs at least half of the entire breadth of The Barrens, making its way underground between the cities of Imor and Drev. Although maps of the tunnel exist, most of its area has only now begun to be rediscovered.

The cartways are separated by fifty feet of earth along their length, connected only by crossing passages spaced at about ten-mile intervals. At each of these connecting points is a rest area, including bunks, storage for supplies, stabling and parking areas for large carts, and an administrative offices. One of these, perhaps the one closest to Imor, was recently established to lead to the old city of Saeryt. Each rest area is also equipped with a communication device that can be used to contact any of the other rest areas or the city of Imor.

The time of the building of the tunnel system is not certain, but it was certainly in place before the end of the Great Magic War. At that time, it was used to transport goods between Imor and Drev without fear of caravans being waylaid by the forces of Auryk, the original Black Czar. However, after the war and the formation of The Barrens, Imor withdrew more and more from the outside world, and the tunnel fell into disrepair. It is still somewhat unclear why the tunnel fell into disuse, but now the Imorian government has commissioned a project to reopen it.
