Matria

Matria is a region located on the northwestern coast of Ardann i'Parastha. It is bordered on the west by the Golden Ocean, on the east by the Pestranis Forest, on the north by Pah'tagonya, and on the south by Latium. Its capital is Boniesca, in the southwestern part of the region. The climate here is quite warm, and agriculture dominates the economy.

Matria is the original homeland of the Lastini, and is still ruled by the Lastini matriarch. Some 150-200 years ago, there was a division among the people that led to a large number of them leaving for Lanad i'Sarois, an event now known as the First Matrian Migration. However, even they still consider Matria their true home.
