Mortimer Hanaestor

Mortimer Hanaestor is the youngest of the three children of Madricus Pallianor and his wife, Nelestra Hanaestor. He has two brothers, Mirdael, the current Duke of Hanaellan, and Malzin. Mortimer is a successful shopkeeper in the city of Byngh, where he sells pottery and cooking gear.

Mortimer never knew his birth father, as he was still in the womb when he was killed while adventuring. The only father he knows is Leadro Hanaestor, whom his mother married after Madricus' death. Therefore, unlike Malzin, he has no resentment toward his eldest brother or his mother.
