Orpheus

From Ardrana

Orpheus is a Human musician, and likely the best-known minstrel in northern Ardann i'Parastha, if not all of Ardrana.

Early life

He began his career at the age of twelve, but never achieved fame in his home of Athens. He briefly became an adventurer, but after a mission for Garond II, the king of Dusharend, he asked permission to perform. The king was so impressed that he granted Orpheus the funds to tour the lands as a wandering minstrel. Orpheus' fame grew quickly, and he is now the most sought-after performer in the region, especially among those under the age of thirty.

Attack in Imor

Orpheus was performing in the city of Imor when he collapsed onstage. It was later discovered that he had been attacked by a Dark Guardian, an ancient evil unleashed by Lucius Crowley. He was saved when a party of adventurers went out to Saeryt and retrieved a book containing the means to drive the spirit out. He subsequently offered the party members positions in his entourage, which some of them accepted.

Personal info

Orpheus is accompanied on tour by Lastrigon, who serves as his bodyguard as well as helping to set up the venue in which Orpheus performs. Lastrigon, a nine-foot tall half-ogre, is literally the savage beast who was soothed by the music of Orpheus.
