Semmarch Resistance

"Semmarch Resistance" is something of a term of necessity, as the group described here has no name in the real sense. What the group is is a loose network of people in cities across Hanaellan, the northern part of Kellan, and the southern part of Lan-Zarek who are attempting to put together a coordinated effort to free the city of Semmarch from the grasp of Mirdael Hanaestor, the Duke of Hanaellan. If Mirdael should be deposed, so much the better.

The headquarters -- if it can be called that -- of the movement is somewhere in the wild lands across the East-West Road from Semmarch. Its true location is known to nobody but the leaders of the resistance, and if anyone approaches they are either confronted and led in blind, or are subtly steered away through various means.

The movement itself was born when Kent Mydland, the rightful mayor of Semmarch, was removed from office three years ago by the Duke. Those loyal to him were either imprisoned or fled the city with him (or after him), and many of them gathered in the wild lands. Since then, their organization has worked toward gathering information about the Duke, the movements of his troops, his allies, and so forth, in the hopes that what has been done may be undone.
