Shadow's Life

Shadow's Life is the preeminent temple of Nevis, the Ardic god of death. It is located in the heart of the Zemodi Desert in central Rannas i'Drasoin. The priests here are required to use spells to survive, as there is no ready source of food or water -- in this way, Nevis reminds them that he controls whether they live or die, as he may choose to withhold their spells should they stray from their chosen path.

At least once in their lives, all priests of Nevis must make a pilgrimage here, bringing no supplies with them other than the clothes on their backs. If they should perish on the journey, it is considered a sign that they were truly deserving of being united with Nevis.
