Talen is a human thief, originally from the city of Semmarch, who has made a good living at adventuring for several years. He is a swashbuckler at heart, fancying himself a gentleman and a scholar, and can be quite the ladies' man when so inclined.
He first appeared on the adventuring scene when the Servants of Kuraliskar took over an abandoned temple near his hometown, and he led a band to drive them out. During that time, he discovered a group known only as The Organization, which was working in the city. He began looking into organizing a resistance to their criminal activity, but his adventures soon took him away from that.
On his return to his home, he found that Duke Mirdael Hanaestor had used The Organization's presence, along with other events, to depose Semmarch's mayor and put the military in charge of the city. Talen in part blamed himself for this, and allowed himself to be recruited by Trave to join the Assassins in the Service of Good, by whom he is now employed on a team with Trave and Mothra. Most recently, he helped recruit Beatrice and her companions to attempt to discern why Duke Mirdael had gone on to withdraw from the White Alliance.
Talen was a PC played by Roger Sayen, and has also been run as an NPC.
