Laracel, often called Lara for short, is a Lastini warrior and former member of the village guard of Queral. She left her home and position in order to prevent Oración Esquivara and her comrades from being arrested in connection with the disappearance of Venturia de'Medici from Queral's prison, using her family's boat to spirit them out of the village. She then traveled with them to Daro as they continued their mission. In Daro, she learned that Queral's Condesa, Rosalín as'Quanada, had been in hiding there following the loss of a crucial magical scroll. After the scroll's disposition had been discovered, she and Ora went to Mariscora in an effort to clear the condesa's name.
