Pescara

Pescara is a city in Mentoncha, about twenty miles south of the capital along the Calle de Tierrimar. It is the second largest city in the region, and is ruled by Duquesa Tiburona. It is also the oldest city, as it is the site of the landing of the Lastini ships from Matria 150 years ago after the First Matrian Migration. However, Queen Caldrana decided that the capital should be at the city of Mentoncha. There are some who believe the city should still be Mentoncha's capital, Tiburona chief among them. She has patterned Pescara after the Lastinis' homeland to bolster this viewpoint and, unlike the capital, has encouraged public sale of common magic.
