Faxanadu

Faxanadu is a region in the west of Lanad i'Sarois, bounded on the north by Idrellan, on the east by Kellan, and on the west and south by the Living Ocean. Due to Karis custom, there are no specific borders, although it's generally accepted that in the north, the Voldann Forest lies on the border with Idrellan.

Faxanadu is mostly populated by the Karis, who call it simply "our land". It is quite fertile and sparsely populated, making it a frequent target of invasion in the past. The Karis have always driven such invaders back, which is the focus of a fair number of their more recently-composed stories.
