Vamnik

Vamnik was an Orcish commander in the armies of the Onyx Empire. He was born in the settlement of Gikh Fokh, now known as Eirlset. There, he established a stronghold at what is now Vamnik Outpost during the waning days of the war. He is remembered by the Orcs of the region as something of a folk hero due to his deeds during the Wars of Arin.

Several years before the wars reached their end, Dwarven forces from the Thair Mountains were advancing northward into central Arin. Vamnik, who had risen to command an entire brigade of the Onyx Army, wanted to keep a strong presence in the region. He set up his defenses near Gikh Fokh, and the vast majority of the Orcish population in the surrounding territory moved eastward to establish Blukh Ukh. Vamnik's forces, supported by a platoon of Grazhnakh, were able to delay the White Army's insurgence long enough to allow the Orcs to set up a new stronghold and make a firm stand. However, Vamnik himself was killed, as he was one of the last orcs to leave their former home.
