Xavin I
From Ardrana
Xavin I, or Xavin of Wesber, was the founder of the House of Wesber, ruling house of Kellan for nearly five hundred years. A renowned warrior, he was the leader of an army that conquered the town of Bassimer in 271 L.C., overthrowing King Davirey and renaming the city Morelenas.
Little is known of Xavin before his march upon what was then the town of Bassimer. Most scholars agree that his people were one of the several tribes that made up the Faxian people in west-central Kellan during the time. What is known is that he was a holy warrior of Morelen, and renamed the city in his honor.
After his victory, he was mostly known as "Xavin of Wesber", or "Xavin of the white-place", which may simply have reflected the predominant color of his army's livery. More than anything else, the use of the color white in the many institutions of the area (White Alliance, White Council, and so forth) grew from his influence.
Xavin I died in 293 L.C. and was succeeded by his son, Xavin II.
