Zachriel

Zachriel is a monk, dedicated to the study of the martial arts. He was born in Morelenas, and studied under Master Ayil of the Order of Tren while still a child. When he came of age, he joined the White Army in the waning days of the Wars of Arin. He quickly proved himself very effective in combat, and was leading missions within a year.

After the war, he was promoted to Captain of the City Guard of Morelenas, the second-highest rank in the army. He commanded the defenses during the Battle of the Bay of Light, and upon the retirement of Roderick Harper he became the supreme commander of the White Army. He was installed in that position by Lukus the Blue, current president of the White Council, on the theory that, being a monk dedicated to using his skills for the purposes of defense only, Zachriel would have no penchant to go on military "adventures" as some generals are prone to do.

Zachriel was a PC played by John Proulx who has now been "retired" to being an NPC.
