Intrellia

The city of Intrellia sits on the very edge of the Zemodi Desert, in southern Sambarria. In the days when The Colonel was expanding his empire southwards, Intrellia was built to be a major military base from which soldiers would cross the desert and conquer lands to the south. However, when early forays into the desert found nothing but more desert, the city was abandoned by the military except for a token garrison.

Today, Intrellia has fallen into an odd sort of decay, a mix of gleaming metal and crumbling stone. It serves mostly as a way station for those who would cross the desert -- mostly priests of Nevis on their pilgrimages to the Shadow's Life, but also a few intrepid traders who do business with the towns along the Wall of Night and beyond. To that end, there is a little-used trade route that runs south from Standrick through Intrellia to Inirica -- little used mainly due to the heavy tolls levied by The Colonel's army.
