Following their failure in the Swamp of Undeath, Alton Coboral and his associates returned to the city of Nazivonema, where they took on a mission from the Allied Temples, who charged them with destroying a temple of Kuraliskar that had arisen in the area. On their way into Ruisti Forest, where the temple was located, the party was attacked by hobgoblins. During the combat, Corelda accidentally set the wood on fire, and the party had to wait it out.
They returned to complete the mission, but at the end some of the evil priests escaped through a trap door in the floor. There, the party discovered a secret entrance into the UnderWorld, which they took it upon themselves to investigate. Unfortunately, they encountered a group of drow, and Alton was killed by their leader, forcing the group to retreat to Nazivonema.
