Not Quite to Zathmore's Tomb

After their initial success, Alton Coboral and his companions set out for Semmarch, hearing that more adventure was to be had there. Upon their arrival, they found that the Red Dragon Inn had been closed down. Alton made his way inside, and met with the proprietor, Garth. He told them that a group of rebels were holed up within -- people who stood against Duke Mirdael, who had taken over the city from its former leader, Kent Mydland, upon his withdrawing of the entire region from the White Alliance.

After talking to Garth, Alton and company decided to help them raise support for the rebellion by going into the Swamp of Undeath to retrieve the Rod of Zathmore. They were joined by two members of the rebel camp, a priest named Galen Barraccus and an archer named Airlia. Unfortunately, the party ran into some trouble, culminating in the death of Slipple, who was killed by a giant frog. The party made their way to Nazivonema, vowing to return to the swamp once they'd gotten more experience under their belts.
