Raid on Ruisti

Following their failure in the Swamp of Undeath, Alton Coboral and his associates returned to the city of Nazivonema, where they took on a mission from the Allied Temples, who charged them with destroying a temple of Kuraliskar that had arisen in the area. On their way into Ruisti Forest, where the temple was located, the party was attacked by hobgoblins. During the combat, Corelda accidentally set the wood on fire, and the party had to wait it out. Afterwards, they were admonished by Bellik, the local druid, who said he would be keeping an eye on them.

They returned to complete the mission, but at the end some of the evil priests escaped through a trap door in the floor near the alter. There, the party discovered a secret entrance into the UnderWorld, which they took it upon themselves to investigate. Unfortunately, they encountered a group of drow. At one point, they found an antechamber, where they were met by the drow's leader, Varlann. Varlann offered Alton the opportunity to rejoin his kindred, but Alton responded by attacking him. Varlann killed him easily, and told the group he would allow them to leave with Alton's body. They did so, returning to Nazivonema to have him raised. They were able to bargain for his return, but had to accept a mission from the Allied Temples as payment.
