Nielsen Arbat

Nielsen Arbat was a Human ranger originally from the city of Byngh. He is most well-known today as one of the top generals of the White Army during the Wars of Arin. He had one daughter, Nelestra.

Arbat became involved in the wars almost entirely by accident. He was traveling with an adventuring party led by Zorg from the city of Arain. They had answered the call for aid from the village of Hommlet, in nearby Tanilon. There, they discovered, instead of the small band of humanoids they expected, a small army. While they helped fortify the settlement, it wasn't enough.

Nielsen returned to Byngh, where he informed the local gentry. Word eventually reached Morley Pallianor, and the seeds were planted for the formation of the White Alliance. Nielsen soon retired from adventuring and joined the army himself, rising to the rank of general after several successful skirmishes. It was Nielsen who commanded the alliance forces at the Battle of Hanmer, which turned the tide on the southern front. Unfortunately, he was felled by archers during the battle.

Nielsen was a PC played by John Proulx, later an NPC.
