Leviticus Pallianor
From Ardrana
Leviticus is the youngest, and only survivor, of the four children of Morley Pallianor, the chief architect of the White Alliance and first president of the White Council. He was married to the now-deceased Tantala, and as such is brother-in-law to Lanthana Hanaestor, the current mayor of Hanmer, and uncle to Mirdael Hanaestor, current Duke of Hanaellan -- in fact, he is uncle to him twice, as the Duke's birth father was also Levi's elder brother (not that Mirdael acknoledges this). Levi and Tantala had three children. The two eldest, Lithius and Lutetius, took after their father and became adventurers, although both took up the warrior arts rather than wizardry. Both were killed in a disastrous encounter in the UnderWorld. The third and youngest is Season, who did take up magecraft, but mostly from a scholarly perspective rather than more active pursuits.
Unlike his close relations, he has stayed out of politics and diplomacy to concentrate on his studies of the Arcane Arts, especially of the school of invocation. In that, he is much like his brother Madricus, whom he always thought a fool for abandoning magecraft upon the death of their father (as the eldest brother, Larsus, had died during the Wars of Arin). He is quite happy to cede any claim to the title of Duke of Morelenas to his nephew Marcus.
After a lengthy career in adventuring, Levi retired some years ago to accept a teaching position at Jar-Kahn. His flair for teaching allowed him to move up the ranks relatively quickly, until two years ago he was appointed the Dean of the School of Invocation after Zwann was removed as part of a reorganization of the school by the new President, Jhessail. However, even that degree of responsibility has not been comfortable for him, as he often roams the land, seeking new and promising students, leaving his administrative duties to his assistant Castor or to his daughter Season.
Leviticus was a PC played by John Proulx, and is now an NPC.
